Sample academic and co-op work term sequence
Ontario Tech provides the flexibility to pursue co-op and other experiential opportunities in a way that fits individual education goals. Full-time undergraduates can complete a minimum of three four-month co-op workterms in four and a half years.
NOTE: there are multiple possible schedules, and not all entering students will follow the following particular examples. Students will work with their academic departments and co-op coordinators to customize a schedule that best suits their goals and aspirations.
Normally, co-op work terms last 16 weeks. However, to suit the needs of the employer and the students, these dates can sometimes be adjusted when the contract is signed.
